The After They Told: Exploring Teacher Responses to Bullying Disclosure from Teachers examines teachers’ experiences of managing bullying disclosures. Research has highlighted how being bullied is associated with a range of mental health outcomes. Teachers can play an incredibly important role in supporting students with their experiences of bullying. Yet little research has focused on understanding teachers’ experiences of managing disclosures. Therefore, the aim of this study is to explore the techniques teachers use to manage disclosures of bullying in school. The survey also explores how teachers’ personal experiences of bullying, and any training you may have received, influences teachers’ respond to disclosures of bullying.
We’re currently recruiting teachers to participate in this survey, which should take no more than 20 minutes to complete.
If you are a teacher in the UK with experience in handling bullying disclosures, I’d really appreciate it if you could take the time to complete our survey. My survey should take no more than 20 minutes to complete.
